OPEN CALL: T.E.N ELECTION WRITERS 2017

Are you a writer, journalist or regular citizen with a fresh, interesting idea or perspective in form of stories, well researched opinion, reports and insights on any upcoming elections in 2017?

The Election Network (TEN), a global non-partisan reporting medium, seeks individuals with interest in various topics that will bring value to our audience and contribute to enhancing the electoral process and outcomes.

We love evidence driven stories with an authentic narrative and free use of open data. We are not traditional, AND not a fan of big words and long reads.

We love untold stories, compelling data and investigative content around technology and elections, marginalization of minority groups, media influence or bias, campaign financing, credibility of electoral institutions, voting patterns and trends including turnout and civic participation, security and elections in crisis zones and endangered democracies.

Do you have an idea you would like to publish? Please send a note with your pitch (not more than two paragraphs) to ideas@theelectionnetwork.com.

PS. We don’t accept materials that explicitly promote or condemn a political candidate, organization or ideology except it is compelling and promotes knowledge that can improve elections.
