Security and elections in Nigeria present an interesting study. It is not uncommon to find armed military personnel on the streets or on federal highways doing the work of the Police in the country. During elections in the country, these numbers double. Every one of the 119,973 polling booths in the country is usually overrun with an abnormally large number of paramilitary, military and police personnel.
